Nisene D-Cap2 Decapsulation and Drop Method Decapsulation

Chip Targets Inc. uses the Nisene D-Cap2 Jet Etcher for most of our decapsulation. This automated jet etcher allows analysts to decap devices at controlled temperatures, acid volumes, and mixed ratio of fuming sulfuric acid and fuming nitric acids. Chip Targets Inc. has two D-Cap2 Jet Etchers at our facility. Occasionally, we use the drop method for decapsulation.

System Capabilities and Specifications:

• Two Nisene D-Cap2 Jet Etchers.
• Temperatures (15C to 240C).
• Acids: Fuming Nitric Acid, Fuming Sulfuric Acid, or mixture of both acids.
